Keep your eye on South Meridian!

You may know that a new Costco is opening up soon in South Meridian (Meridian Rd/Lake Hazel). I think this is going to cause that whole area to expand south toward Kuna in coming years. In fact, a new development has already been proposed in that area.

The development is proposed by Brighton Corp. The company wants to put in approximately 400 apartments and 240 single-family homes on a 20 acre field. The plan also includes retail stores, office space, and other commercial uses.

The proposal still needs city approval, with a public hearing scheduled for November 5, 2026.

As south Meridian continues to grow, I think this is another development worth watching!
